Mario Arlati: La Materia dell'Arte, Monza
Past exhibition
Overview
Material surfaces and typical colors of the Mediterranean alternate with low layered and informal reliefs, creating craters, wounds and tears
M.Ar.Co Monza Arte Contemporanea Association presents a new artistic project in collaboration with the Milanese artist Mario Arlati. The Association's aim is to transform the spaces requalified in 2019 into a new artistic experience for the community, based on the evolution of their exhibition history and the promotion of contemporary art languages.
Arlati is known for his eclectic artistic path, ranging from pictorial minimalism to material research, creating three-dimensional artworks, characterized by Mediterranean-inspired colors and layered material surfaces, which interact with the viewer.
M.Ar.Co draws inspiration from Arlati's recent research, which finds in rags fertile material for artistic creation: these rags become meditative elements in the search for answers about the future. The exhibition is part of the 'Flag' project: on July 20th, 2023, at the Carrobiolo educational center in Monza, it took place a creative workshop dedicated to young people with disabilities and relationship problems, promoted by the social enterprise Il Carro with the support of UNIDO ITPO Italy.
