Enzo Fiore: Antologica, Sabbioneta (Mantua)
A deep connection with nature is evident in Fiore's works.
The Municipality of Sabbioneta (Mantua) together with Contini Art Gallery in Venice, with the support of the Lombardy Region and the Province of Mantua, present the 'Anthological' exhibition of the Milanese artist Enzo Fiore, at the Palazzo Ducale in Sabbioneta (MN). The presentation and critical text are curated by Beatrice Buscaroli.
A deep connection with nature is evident in Fiore's works. Since his beginnings in 1997, the artist has drawn inspiration from nature itself to shape his creations. He makes use of 'inanimate' materials such as moss, shrubs, roots, earth, stones, as well as resin and concrete, transforming them into tools for the creation of forms that strike a balance between nature and imagination. His works are characterised by intense and essential colours.
Fiore demonstrates an extraordinary power of suggestion and, through the skilfully orchestrated use of organic materials, which are a distinctive feature of his artistic research, he seems to guide the viewer with confidence and delicacy into a legendary universe, a mythological dimension in which the observer is invited to participate.
The exhibition, curated by Paolo Fontanesi, offers a comprehensive overview of Fiore's oeuvre, from his beginnings to his latest series of portraits of famous people.
