Marc Quinn, one of the most prominent artists of his time, member of the YBA group, (Young British Artists), works in sculpting and visual arts. His paintings, drawings and sculptures often deal with the relationship we have with our bodies, and emphasizes the conflicts. His provocative style with a broad range of mediums - often with human or animal organic elements - explores life and death, sexuality and frustration and dualism in human life. Quinn may also make references to scientific issues through his art. He is concerned with the materiality, whether using traditional or non-traditional means, and gives great importance to the composition and surface appearance of his artwork.
